DUBLIN, Ireland - Gardai are appealing for witnesses or information about a serious road traffic incident in suburban Dublin late Wednesday night.

Garda in Cabinteely, who are investigating the incident, say a car struck a 70-year old man at approximately 10:10pm at pedestrian traffic lights on the Leopardstown road, in Cabinteely, a suburb of south Dublin.

The man who was struck was taken to St.Vincent's University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Garda in Cabinteely are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the Leopardstown Road between the hours of 10pm to 10.20pm who may have seen the incident or drivers who may have dash cam footage, to contact Cabinteely Garda Station on (01) 6665400, The Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
