CO KILDARE, Ireland - Another €142,000 has been seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau in Ireland following a search operation carried out in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, on Tuesday.
Four residential addresses and one professional premises were searched. The search operation was conducted by Criminal Assets Bureau officers assisted by the ASU, Divisional Detective Units and the Customs Dog Unit.
Funds totaling €138,511 were frozen across three separate bank accounts, while €3,500 in cash (pictured) was confiscated.
The approximate €142,000 is in addition the seizure of €103,852 as a prior part of this investigation.
Tuesday morning's search operation zeroed in on assets linked to a gang involved in guttering installation and roofing repairs primarily in the greater Dublin area. The individuals concerned target the vulnerable and the elderly.
