Irish Covid death toll rises to 1,890 as five more die

DUBLIN, Ireland - The deadly coronavirus has taken another five lives across Ireland.

720 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported, taken the total in the country to 58,767.

With the five new deaths, the toll now stands at 1,890.

Of the new cases, 228 are in Dublin, 130 in Cork, 47 in Galway, 31 in Meath, 27 in Limerick and the
remaining 257 cases are spread across another 20 counties.

As of 2:00pm Tuesday, 341 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalised, of which 38 are in ICU.
