Twelve properties in Co Longford targeted for CAB searches

CO LONGFORD, Ireland - An on-going Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) investigation into assets, including properties linked to a significant midlands-based Organised Crime Gang believed to be involved in the sale and supply of drugs and vehicle crime is continuing following the search of a dozen properties late in the week.

The CAB, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, Regional Armed Support Unit, local Gardai, the Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit, and the Customs Dog Unit conducted the major search operation on Thursday.

The twelve locations searched were all in County Longford.

The searches yielded:

- €10,000 in cash

- A 212 Ford Focus (value €26,400)

May be an image of car and road

- A 172 Nissan Navara (value €27,000)

May be an image of car and road

- Three Rolex watches

May be an image of wrist watch and text that says '50 ROLEX 9 20 C'

- A Cherry picker

- Financial documents and electronic devices

- Over €78,000 restrained in bank accounts

The CAB provided no further information, other than to confirm that their investigation is continuing.
