CO WEXFORD, Ireland - An operation by the Revenue Customs Service in Ireland at the Rosslare Europort on Saturday has resulted in the seizure of an estimated €2.4 million in cocaine.
The drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched a vehicle that had disembarked from a ferry from Cherbourg, in France.
A man in his 30s, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested by gardai from Wexford at the scene. He is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Eastern region.
Revenue Customs Service and gardai say investigations ongoing.
