CO CORK, Ireland - A woman seriously injured in a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Monday continues to receive treatment in hospital.
The crash occurred around 5:30pm Monday night on the R600 at Coolcarron, Belgooly in County Cork.
The woman injured was a passenger in one of the cars. She is aged in her 20s.
She was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries as serious.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The R600 at Coolcarron was closed to traffic and is expected to remain closed through Tuesday morning.
Local diversions are in place. Road-users are advised to take alternative routes where possible.
Garda are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and were travelling on the R600 at Coolcarron between 5pm and 5:40pm Monday night are asked to make this footage available to Garda.
