CO TIPPERARY, Ireland - A teenage youth has died in hospital after being critically injured in a road traffic collision earlier in the day.
Two teenagers, both boys and a man aged in his 30s were injured following the single-vehicle crash, which occurred on the R505 / R661 junction at Dundrum village in County Tipperary on Sunday morning, around 6:10am.
The three occupants were all taken to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for their injuries. It was there one of the boys passed away.
The driver of the car, the man in his 30s, remains in hospital in critical condition.
The road was closed for a period to allow for an examination to be conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and were travelling on the R505 or R661 between 5:00am and 6:30am on Sunday morning are asked to make this footage available to investigators.
