DUBLIN, Ireland - After learning that it sold the winning ticket for Wednesday's top Lotto Plus 1 prize of a staggering €1 million, a store in Dublin is celebrating.

The Spar branch in St Agnes Park in Crumlin, Dublin 12, appealed to lotto players to check their tickets from the draw on 27 September.

Brian Ferris, the store owner, said in response to the news, "I've owned the store for five years now, and this is our second big win in three years, which is absolutely incredible," A €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win was our most recent. When word gets out, the locals will be overjoyed, and I'm sure we'll see many of them eager to check their tickets.

Brian urged everyone who had stopped by the shop and bought a lottery ticket to check their tickets before the time ran out.

"I know the winner hasn't been in touch yet, so hopefully, when the word spreads, they'll check their ticket and be on to the National Lottery soon!"

Anyone in the Dublin 12 area who purchased a lottery ticket on Wednesday is urged to sign it and contact the National Lottery prize claims team by phone at 1800 666 222 or by email at so that arrangements can be made for them to collect their enormous prize.

The unidentified winner would be the 29th new millionaire in Ireland in 2023.
