DUBLIN, Ireland - An Garda Siochana's National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) on Monday arrested five men in connection with an ongoing investigation into an international organised crime group based in west Dublin. The individuals, aged in their 30s, 40s, and 60s, were apprehended in the Dublin and Eastern Garda Regions for alleged offences under the Criminal Justice Act, 2006. They are currently detained at various Garda stations across these regions.
The operation was carried out by the Emergency Response Unit, Regional Armed Support Unit, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI), and the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT).
As the individuals remain in custody, Gardai say that no further information is available at this time.
