Woman in Her Late 20s Dies After Collision in Co. Wexford

CO WEXFORD, Ireland - A woman in her late 20s has died following a serious road collision in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, on Saturday afternoon.

The incident, involving a car and a pedestrian, occurred on the R702 at Curraghgraigue at around 3pm. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the pedestrian was taken to Wexford General Hospital in serious condition but later passed away.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his 20s, was assessed by medical personnel at the scene. The road was temporarily closed for a forensic examination but has since reopened.

Investigators are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking to motorists who may have dash-cam footage from the area between 2:30pm and 3:30pm on Saturday, 24th May 2025.
